From the doorstep of my neighbour at Hafenstrasse 27/27a, 60327 Frankfurt am Main

A damaged interpretation panel shows a view taken from outside the Neue Alte Brucke gallery and facing across the road towards the Frankfurt tax office with its eyecatching different coloured conical forms on its rooftop. The panel appears to be attempting to describe the different sources of the architectural conical shapes although a lot of the references seem to operate as unconscious associations. And the text is in Greek, indicating that its content, instead of being accessible to the widest possible community, is only aimed at a Greek audience.  As the title indicates the work is made From the doorstep of my neighbour at Hafenstrasse 27/27a, 60327, Frankfurt am Main, a few doors up from the gallery.  Standing on the doorstep you find that not only would the sign’s image have been taken in exactly that location , thus blocking the doorway (hence its likely ‘vandalism’ and ‘demolition’), but also that the apartments’ doorbells list a number of Greek occupants by surname.
The work then becomes an attempt to empathise, to see through another’s eyes. A projection
